Our neighborhood is within the Fairfax County Public Schools district and consistently ranks high locally and nationally. In 2019, Fairfax County Public Schools had eight of the top ten schools in Virginia, with Thomas Jefferson High School leading the way at fourth in the country. Additionally, the average SAT scores for the Fairfax County Public School District consistently outperforms their peers in Virginia and the United States in all areas including Critical Reading, Mathematics, and Writing.
The Fairfax County Public Schools for our neighborhood are Wolftrap Elementary School, Kilmer Middle School, and Marshall High School. The Advanced Academic Placement schools are Louise Archer Elementary School and Kilmer Middle School. Our high school students are also eligible to attend Thomas Jefferson School for Science and Technology, ranked the 4th best public high school in the nation in 2013 by U.S. News & World Report.
Wolftrap Elementary School
Wolftrap Elementary School has several programs including Advanced Academic Local Level IV Programs, Advanced Academic Services (K-8), Foreign Language in the Elementary Schools (FLES), and School-Age Child Care (SACC). Louise Archer Elementary School
The Louise Archer Elementary School offers an Advanced Academics Program. Their Advanced Academic Resource Teacher (AART) collaborates with the school staff to determine the appropriate level of advanced academic services. Parents may refer their child for advanced academic services or get additional information on the screening process or advanced academic opportunities. Ongoing observation and assessment ensures that student needs are being met.
